
Michael Reagan, MA
Michael Reagan, MA joined Cherry Health in 2011 and is currently the Chief External Relations Officer, where he works closely with the health center's Board of Directors. Prior to the merger of Proaction Behavioral Health Alliance (Proaction) into Cherry Health, he served as Proaction’s CEO since 1991. Proaction was a statewide, nonprofit health care organization based in Grand Rapids, Michigan that provided substance abuse and mental health treatment and prevention services.
Previously, Mr. Reagan’s nonprofit management / human resource management experience included serving as Vice President of Project Rehab, Director of Employee Assistance Center, and Personnel and Community Relations Director for Kent CAP.
Mr. Reagan has been active in several state and national health care associations: Michigan Association of Community Mental Health Boards (Provider Alliance Executive Committee); State Associations of Addiction Services (Executive Committee, Treasurer, and Chair of the Practice Committee and member of Moving Forward Alliance); International Community Corrections Association (Executive Committee); and Frequent User Systems Engagement (Steering Committee). He is also a past NIATx Foundation Chairperson and a past Board member for Healthnet of West Michigan.
Mr. Reagan serves as adjunct faculty for the Western Michigan University School of Social Work and Physician Assistant Program Specialty Program in Addiction (SPADA), as well as Grand Valley State University School of Public and Health Administration. He has an MA in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University and a BA in Philosophy from Athenaeum of Ohio.
