
Kana Enomoto, MA
Kana Enomoto is global Director of Brain Health in the McKinsey Health Institute and a Partner in McKinsey & Company’s Healthcare practice. Based in Washington, DC, Ms. Enomoto works with leaders in public and private sector behavioral health, public health, social determinants of health, and delivery system reform. Ms. Enomoto has over 20 years of experience as a federal leader in mental health and substance use policy, programs, data, and practice improvement. Prior to McKinsey, Ms. Enomoto was the Acting Administrator for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and Senior Advisor to U.S. Surgeon General VADM Jerome Adams and provided strategic guidance to the Surgeon General’s efforts to combat the opioid epidemic.
Ms. Enomoto has been recognized for her work and received numerous awards including the Arthur S. Flemming Award, the American College of Mental Health Administration King Davis Award, and the Secretary’s Award for Distinguished Service. She has her bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a graduate of Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, Senior Managers in Government Program.
